China is a showoff. Its ego gets inflated with every string of pearl, such as Gwadar/CPEC, that it acquires, or every new weapon that gets into its arsenal. Obviously China”s defense policy is offense not defense oriented. China is showing similar overconfidence and arrogant behaviour like Germany before WW2. India needs to shed its subservient “minimum deterrence” mindset, and replace it with a more muscular “make my day” type mindset – at least in a defensive context.
