BEIJING: China indicated on Tuesday that it is not worried about India’s decision to refrain from sending troops to march during the massive military parade organized in Beijing on September 3 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of its successful resistance against Japan.

“We respect the choice made by each and every country whether or not to send troops,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said.

周二，中国表示，并不担心印度拒绝派军参加9月3日在北京举行的纪念抗日战争胜利70周年阅兵。

“我们尊重每一个国家是否派军的决定。”中国外交部发言人华春莹说。

At least 17 countries including Russia and Pakistan have decided to send troops during the parade. Islamabad is sending 75 soldiers besides its president Mannoon Hussain. Russian president Vladimir Putin will also attend. A total of 1,000 foreign soldiers will join the parade.

包括俄罗斯和巴基斯坦在内，至少17个国家已经决定派军参加阅兵。除了总统侯赛因出席外，ysl堡还派出了75名士兵。俄罗斯总统普京也会参加。总共1000名外国士兵将会参加此次阅兵。

India’s decision may have been prompted by its reluctance to hurt Japan because the parade is focused against the role of Japanese troops which include torture of Chinese people during the World War II. The parade is seen by some as a Chinese attempt to develop international consensus against Japan’s past role as well its latest move towards militarization.

印度做出这一决定，也许是不大情愿伤害日本，因为此次阅兵主要是为了纪念抗日战争。日本军队在二战时给中国人民带来了严重伤害。阅兵被视为中国尝试培养国际社会对日本过去角色的共识，以及中国最新的军事化举动。

Some observers think India’s refusal to allow its soldiers to march along with those of Pakistan could be another reason for New Delhi’s decision.

一些观察家认为，印度不愿意让士兵与巴基斯坦士兵一道受阅是新德里做出这一决定的另一个原因。

China will extend a warm welcome to India’s minister of state for defense Gen. V.K.Singh, who is attending the parade.

“The Chinese side welcomes Mr Singh’s attendance at the commemoration as a special envoy of Indian government. We will receive him warmly,” Foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said.

中国表示热烈欢迎印度国防部长辛格出席此次阅兵。

“中方欢迎辛格先生作为印度政府的特使出席纪念活动。我们将会热情接待他。”外交部发言人华春莹说。
