It was 10 years ago when India declared the ambitious goal of turning Mumbai into a new Shanghai by 2009. The incompetent and corrupt Kangress Party was not able to deliver on that promise.
However, I have full faith that Modi-ji can make Mumbai surpass Shanghai in five years. India is poised to surpass China and become a superpower by 2020!

The toilet problem is being sorted by Clean India campaign. Modi also promised building millions of toilets for rural areas. At least in India, people have the freedom to defecate in the open. Chinese don’t have that freedom.

Mumbai is overrated.
Some of my favorite Indian cities are Ahmedabad, Pune and Bangalore. And unlike Mumbai these cities are quite clean and had a great history during the medieval period.
